1. Information used by the app
GooCast needs access to your local network to discover and connect to compatible Cast devices. Device names, identifiers, connection status, and related information are used to operate and restore Cast sessions.
When you choose to cast photos, videos, or music, GooCast processes the selected media so it can be played on your chosen device. When you start screen mirroring, GooCast processes your screen and supported audio for transmission to that device over your local network. Screen mirroring may display sensitive information, including notifications and content from other apps. You control when casting and screen mirroring start and stop.
GooCast’s built-in browser saves bookmarks and browsing history on your device. Websites you visit may use cookies and similar technologies through the iOS web view. Those websites handle data under their own privacy policies. You can remove entries from GooCast’s browsing history in the app; uninstalling GooCast removes its locally stored app data under normal iOS behavior.
2. Information received by third parties
GooCast uses the Google Cast SDK. According to the privacy information included with the SDK version used by the app, the SDK may collect device identifiers, diagnostic information, and information about interactions with Cast features for app functionality and analytics. This information is identified by the SDK as not linked to you and not used for tracking. Google processes information under its own applicable privacy terms.
When you open a website, play online media, or use YouTube casting, the relevant website or service may receive your IP address, requests, and other information needed to provide its service. When your Cast device loads GooCast’s hosted receiver, the hosting provider may also receive ordinary network request information. GooCast does not control the privacy practices of those third parties.
3. How information is used and shared
Information is used to discover devices, connect and restore sessions, cast media, mirror your screen, remember your settings and browser entries, and troubleshoot app functionality. Media and screen content are sent to the Cast device you select. Online content and web requests may also be sent to the relevant content provider.
We do not sell your personal information. GooCast does not include an advertising SDK or request permission for cross-app tracking in the current version.
4. Storage and security
Settings, browser entries, and certain Cast session information are stored on your device. Selected media may be copied temporarily on your device to support casting and is made available to the selected Cast device over the local network. Temporary files are removed when the related casting resources are cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to normal device behavior.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Use GooCast on a network and with a Cast device you trust.
5. Your choices
You can stop casting or screen mirroring at any time. You can manage GooCast’s access to the local network, microphone, photo library, and media library through iOS Settings, although disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working. You can delete individual browser history entries or clear GooCast’s browsing history in the app. You can remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the app.

6. Children
GooCast is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact contact@dld.asia.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or its data practices change. The updated policy will show a new effective date.
